Mental Health is the emotional, cognitive and behavioral wellness that enables us to function optimally in our daily activities. The World Health Organization (WHO) explains mental health as ... a state of well-being in which the individual realises
- his or her own abilities,
- can cope with the normal stresses of life,
- can work productively and fruitfully, and
- is able to make a contribution to his or her community.
The WHO further stresses that mental health “is not just the absence of mental disorders”.
At EJAsia, we believe mental health is the foundation of strong individuals, families, and organisations, and a key requirement for them to thrive.
What is Mental Illness?
The American Psychiatric Association (APA) states mental illnesses as health conditions involving changes in emotion, thinking or behavior (or a combination of these). Mental illnesses are associated with distress and/or problems functioning in social, work or family activities.
You can engage EJAsia through either our direct coaching and counselling services, or though our digital platform. Both delivery methods promote mental health literacy through educational content via coaching, counselling and mentoring.

Coaching is a form of development in which an experienced person, called a coach, supports a learner or client in achieving a specific personal or professional goal by providing training and guidance.
